Who Can Worship at St. Andrew's?

Simply put . . . Anyone!

St. Andrew’s welcomes anyone who is interested in worshiping here, even if you are not a baptized Christian.

If you are like some St. Andrew’s worshipers, you were born and raised an Episcopalian.  If so, much of what you experience here will be familiar to you.  The Book of Common Prayer and the 1982 Hymnal form the foundation of our worship services.

If you are like most people in our parish, however, you were not born and raised an Episcopalian.  You may have been a Roman Catholic . . . or a Congregationalist . . . or any of a multitude of faiths . . . or perhaps not a member of any faith. You may be single . . . or married . . . or partnered . . . or single again.  You may be young . . . or older . . . or in-between.   Many of our parishioners have found the Episcopal Church—and St. Andrew’s, in particular—to be a wonderful place for them to be, and many have found it a great place to raise their children. Whatever your background, you will find friendship, warmth, and family here at St. Andrew’s. What you won’t find is a lot of pressure to join.  You can participate at your pace. We’re all here for our own individual reasons.  But we all share the commitment to worship God, grow in our understanding of the Christian faith, and work for hospitality, justice and peace in our communities and in the world.  We hope you will find our worship and our community life to be a comfort to your soul.

If you are looking for a place to participate
in outreach efforts, and to help those who are homeless and hungry, St. Andrew’s is the place for you.
If you want to deepen your faith, St. Andrew’s is the place for you.

If you want to be part of a fellowship of Christians, at various places in their journeys . . . St. Andrew’s definitely is the place for you.

Feel free to worship with us any time.  Feel free also to call the Rector, a Warden, or any member of the Vestry.  Any of us will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
