Christian Education

Education for Our Youth

The Sunday School meets each Sunday at 9:45.  Every week, all the children gather for musical instruction before splitting into two classes for lessons.  The teachers are volunteer parishioners who use a biblically based and liturgically oriented curriculum.  A clear connection to the church year and Episcopal customs and practices is established.  The children join the congregation midway through the 10:00 service at the time of the Peace.

Education for Our Adults

There are a number of opportunities for adults to spend time together and receive Christian education.  Advent and Lenten evening studies are held.  In addition, Sunday adult forums, held after the 10 AM service, and other educational opportunities are held at various times of the year.

Confirmation Preparation

A Confirmation Preparation class is offered to young parishioners.  This group meets every other week with the Rector to learn about our faith, our church, and our parish.  The children are asked to make an adult decision regarding their readiness for Confirmation, and those who believe they are ready will be confirmed by the Bishop. Want to know more about Confirmation? Or are you not an Episcopalian but would like to be received into the Episcopal Church?  Ask our Rector, who will be happy to discuss this with you.
